    • details of your visits to our sites, details of your personal attributes, preferences and habits when using our services; we will use this information to (a) create a profile of you in order to fulfil our regulatory and legal obligations; (b) create a profile for you in order to improve your user experience with us.   • information we receive from other sources: from online suppliers, from service providers who refer you to our sites or services, from user lists lawfully acquired from third-party suppliers and from other third parties who work with us in connection with our sites or services. Third-party service providers may without limitation be appointed to provide technical support, process your transactions and maintain your accounts or to conduct promotions or marketing campaigns. We may have access to all personal information provided to these third-party suppliers, service providers and e-commerce services.


  1. What are the purposes for which data is collected and what are the grounds for lawful processing?  

Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data ("General Data Protection Regulation" or "GDPR") requires any processing to be based on one of the six grounds of legitimacy it lists: the consent of the data subject, necessity for the performance of a contract concluded with the data subject or for pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request, a legal obligation, safeguarding the vital interest of a natural person, a public interest mission or the legitimate interest of the data controller.

  1. To whom is the data transferred?

For the purposes detailed above, we may disclose your personal information to : 

  • any member of the group to which Redsports.be belongs, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries as defined in article 1:15 of the Companies and Associations Code.
  • our business partners, suppliers and subcontractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with them (e.g. analytics and search engine providers who assist us in improving and optimizing our site) or you ;
  • our affiliates and selected third parties where you have not / no longer wish to receive marketing from us / from third parties, in which case we may share suppression lists with our affiliates and selected third parties to ensure that you do not receive unsolicited marketing;
  • selected third parties so that they may contact you with details of the services they provide, where you have expressly consented to the disclosure of your personal data for these purposes;
  • ISPs (Internet Service Providers) and appropriate agencies for the purpose of investigating and protecting against criminal, fraudulent or suspicious activity or if we have reason to believe that you have engaged in such activity, as well as our legal counsel, the courts, applicable independent arbitration services for the purpose of investigating any actual or suspected criminal activity or other regulatory or legal matters, etc.
  • to any (potential) buyer or seller where we are considering the purchase or sale of a business or assets; 
  • to any third party to whom we may be legally obliged to transfer your data. 


  1. How long is the data stored?

As a general rule, personal data will only be kept for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes identified above, extended if necessary by the period corresponding to the statute of limitations of any action that the data subject may bring against us. In most cases, this means that your information will be deleted 10 years after the date of our last positive interaction with you.

If an account has been created, data will no longer be used for marketing purposes after 24 months of inactivity. 

In the event of an appeal, this period will be extended for as long as necessary to defend our interests.

As a data subject, you have various rights in relation to your Personal Data. However, we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on your request. Your rights are as follows:

  • Right to restrict processing - In certain specific cases, you have the right to ask us to restrict the way we process your personal data (e.g. where you dispute the accuracy of personal data, we will have to restrict processing while it verifies its accuracy). This means that we will only be authorized to store the data but not to process it.


  • Right to data portability - This right only applies to personal data that you have provided to us and where processing is based on your consent or on the performance of a contract where processing is carried out by automated means. We will provide you with your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format so that we can pass it on to another data controller, or we will pass it on directly to a third party of your choice if this is technically possible.

  1. How can I avoid targeted advertising on social networks?

If you have a user account with Redsports.be, if you have shown interest in our activities or simply if you have shown interest on the Internet in certain themes (e.g. sporting events), it is possible that targeted advertising will appear on your social networks.
